Take Care Club is a monthly volunteer program for kids ages 5+ to come together and practice community care through acts of service.

Each month, Take Care Club focuses on a different theme with a corresponding activity to explore and make a difference in our communities.

Take Care Club has two cohorts: ages 5+ in Highland Park, and ages 10+ in Sierra Madre that meet the second Sunday of every month from 10 am - 12 pm.

What is the mission of Take Care Club?

Take Care Club offers space for kids and youth to:

Build and strengthen meaningful connections with one another and their communities

Turn awareness of social issues into action rooted in care and engagement

Cultivate empathy while broadening their perspectives of the world around them

Discover the collective power of collaboration and the impact of working together to create change

Excerpt from our interview with LA Public Press:

“I think of it as like planting seeds of action,” she said, allowing people to translate their feelings into “the things that we can do practically — small to medium to large action — that do make a difference in people’s lives.”
